We Mapped London's 50 Best Pasta Restaurants

This Sunday the 25th of October is World Pasta Day, and we wanted to celebrate it properly.

So, we read London’s leading food guides, from Time Out to Hot Dinners, and put the 50 pasta restaurants they recommend onto one interactive map.

The results highlight how London eats pasta, with ragù dominating the signature dish list 13 times - from Trullo’s pappardelle with beef shin ragù, to Murano's braised oxtail tagliatelle. Cacio e pepe is the single most popular signature dish at six restaurants, with Padella, Noci, Pastaio, and La Mia Mamma, alongside Berto which finishes its tonnarelli in a wheel of pecorino, and Manteca which serves its version with brown crab.

Old Street is London’s pasta station with four restaurants nearby, followed by Tottenham Court Road close behind, with three. Central London features 21 of the 50 pasta places, with Soho being home to five, and East London follows with 12. It’s not all about the Tube, either, 13 restaurants require a trip on the Overground or DLR, with some of the city’s best pasta kitchens in local neighbourhoods like Peckham, Deptford, Hackney and Bow.
