Pre-theatre meal near Soho Theatre
For a pre-theatre meal near Soho Theatre, you’d be hard pushed to find somewhere closer than Grasso. We’re less than a minute walk away, and are directly opposite, on Dean Street.
The food at Grasso is inspired by Italian-American cuisine, and includes dishes such as Mom’s Spaghetti, served with our own family recipe, penne alla vodka, chicken parm, and pizza. All sauces and desserts are made in house each and every day.
We also have an extensive wine list, classic and house cocktails, beer, and low and no alcohol options too.

Getting to Soho Theatre from Grasso
If you’re headed to the Soho Theatre, the closest Tube station is Tottenham Court Road, Elizabeth Line which is also on Dean Street.
From here, it’s short stroll down the road, and Grasso and Soho Theatre are directly opposite each other. Here’s a map to show how easy it is!
Things to do when visiting Soho Theatre
The Nellie Dean is a popular pub which has stood there since 1748, and is a solid spot for a pint of lager. If Guinness is your thing, then head to The Toucan on Carlisle Street — they’ve been pouring great pints of the stuff for decades. Soho Theatre also has its own bar, and it’s usually open late for a post-show catch-up.
Further down Dean Street, you’ll find The French House, which famously only sells pints one day a year, and you’ll get a telling off if you try and use your phone inside the pub.
If the sun’s out, then pop over to Soho Square, a public green space with benches and table tennis tables.
