Grasso review: Eating with Tod
When we first opened, Tod came down to visit us and to sample our menu, and here’s his Grasso review!
He tried a selection of dishes, including our meatballs, mozzarella sticks, chicken parm, lobster linguine, and our desserts.
You can watch the review below on TikTok, or over on Instagram too!
“The meatballs are a must order, along with the mozzarella sticks”
“Trying London's new viral Italian American restaurant.
This is Grasso, an independent family owned diner in Soho.
Using their Nana's handed down recipes which are cooked by their mother.
In the restaurant, the mama's meatballs are a secret menu item, but you can just ask the waiter and whatever you do, these are a must order, along with the mozzarella sticks, which are served on a bed of indusia and a squeeze of honey.
We then jumped into the kitchen to see how the pizzas were made.
The dough is made fresh and we ordered the pepperoni passion.
This looked really good, but I didn't try it.
I was so full.
From the chicken parm.
Penniella vodka starts from £15, but we ordered Tito's Vodka lobster linguini, which is made using fresh lobsters.
The sauce had a lovely creamy tomato taste.
The lobster was cooked perfectly and the portion size was huge.
I mean, just look in the mirror's face, says it all.
I went for the chicken parm, which is fried off hit with a signature house tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and then lashings of Parmesan.
I mean, this thing was literally as big as my forearm.
And you just do not need the spaghetti that goes with it.
This place is hearty comfort food with huge portions.
I would like to little bit more seasoning through the spaghetti and parm, but it was still very good.
You can't take a date to come eat.
Enjoy.”
