Here’s a rundown of our dishes which can be prepared to be halal friendly. Please mention to the team when placing your order, and request vegetarian Parmesan.

Halal options

Mozzarella sticks

Our most popular item on the menu can be served without ‘nduja, and instead with a pot of our house pomodoro sauce.

The mozzarella sticks are also drizzled with our homemade hot honey for sweetness and heat.

Italian burrata

Our imported burrata is served with cherry tomatoes and homemade basil oil.

Kale salad

Upon request, we can serve this with vegetarian Parmesan. The salad is served with our house lemon dressing.

Rosemary salt and pepper fries

Herbed fries, no surprise, are a delicious order on the side.

Fried zucchini

A delicious accompaniment to any meal.

Cheese Pie pizza

The classic cheese pizza can be ordered with rennet-free Parmesan.

Eggplant Parm pizza

Garlic-roasted eggplant, with mozzarella and tomato. When ordering, mention to the team if you would like this to be served with our vegetarian Parmesan crumb.

New New Yorker pizza

Woodland mushrooms, marinated artichoke, confit garlic, tomato, mozzarella - this can be ordered with vegaterian Parmesan.

Penne alla vodka

We can make an alcohol-free version of our vodka red sauce and chilli - and ask the team for our vegetarian Parmesan.

Our chicken is halal, and can be ordered with vegetarian Parmesan.

Caesar salad

This can be served with our chicken, which is halal, or artichoke - and can be ordered with vegetarian Parmesan.

If you find yourself wandering the streets of Soho, hungry, and in need of a lovely plate of pasta, then come and visit us at Grasso.

We’re an independent, family-owned restaurant, and can be found at 81 Dean Street.

We’re a few minutes Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus stations, are a short walk from Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Fitzrovia and Mayfair.

  • Yes, the chicken is cooked separately, and not with non-halal items.
